Meet Dr. Tom Hannam

Dr. Tom Hannam is the founder of Hannam Fertility Centre and one of Canada’s leading fertility specialists.
He earned his medical degree from the University of British Columbia in 1995, completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at McMaster University, and went on to complete a two-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Toronto.
His work spans clinical care, research, and education. He has presented at numerous international, peer-reviewed conferences and is regularly invited to share his expertise across media and professional platforms. He also speaks at leading conferences, most recently including CFAS, ASRM, ESHRE, and the Encompass Conference.
Dr. Hannam has served on the board of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society and is a member of the Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Canada, ASRM, and ESHRE. He currently sits on the Patient Board of Fertility Matters Canada, contributing to patient-focused initiatives that advance fertility care.
In 2024, he received the National Hope and Caring Award from Fertility Matters Canada, recognizing physicians who have made significant contributions to advancing fertility care through clinical excellence, research, education, and advocacy.
He founded Hannam Fertility Centre in 2006 and Venna Health in 2022. His current focus is advancing precision medicine in fertility care.
